Latest reviews:Bugis Backpackers Hostel SingaporeIt's basic, functional and a bit tatty-looking but the location is terrific. The nearest MRT station is just across the road; the Bugis Village market is right behind the hostel and there's an 24-hour internet place round the corner that just costs SIN$1.20 (or roughly 50p) for 30 minutes online. Be warned though, the hostel is up three long flights of steps, so it isn't accessible to anyone with mobility or respiratory difficulties. Also, breakfast is not included, but the nearest hawker village (not 24-hour) is just behind the MRT station and there's a KFC downstairs and a Burger King and McDonalds in spitting distance (if you like that sort of junk).

Fernloft River ValleyI would say that this hostel is nice hostel. 'Cause, clean, cheap (even including breakfast!) & nice staff! but I would say that as a conveniency, it is not very nice. I mean, maybe I expected too much, but if you stay this place, you have to walk about 15 minutes to the nearest station, which is not "near" for me. Besides, there is no place to buy "groceries" around this hostel (if you walk 10 minutes, you can find, though). So,If you stay longer, you can consider this hostel. but if you stay shorter like me, I wouldn't recommend... Besides, I expected that the hostel should have "store (for food)" place and "frigi" but, this hostel doesn't have... One more thing, "shower". sometime hot water is not coming, so, I had to had cold shower, which was annoy for me... One another thing. Internet been broken during I stay, which also was annoy me too... So, Clean, Cheap & Nice staff are nice, but for detail thing, I wasn't so satisfied with this hostel...sorry!
Fernloft River ValleyFirst, the host was quite good. They were very kind, and offered us free beverages. We was not given breakfast service, but they said they would offer it from August 2008. There are normaly bed and air-conditioner in a room, and there are shared bathrooms, iron, TV, microwave, and computers.I stayed there with private bathroom.I would like to suggest you to book a room with more money, if you can. Because it was quite comfortable.It's located in the city, so it's closes with clackey. (30minites on food, 5minites by taxi)I hope you have grate time with this hostel in Singapore.
Fernloft River ValleyI had very bad experience when I arrived in Fernloft.Noone is there,no receptionist.I had to wait there for half an hour before one sleepy and hanover guy come to me.Then he told me to come back at 1 pm to check in(I arrived there at 8 am).I had to wait 5 hours to check in.Thats very bad.
