Latest reviews:Hostel Posada del CatalejoI booked the hostel, to be sure that i would have a place to sleep in a busy weekend, a long argentina weekend. But when i arrived the hostel was full, i got my money back, but I still had to find a bed for that night, and that is no fun after a bus ride.
Chepatagonia HostelThe first thing I noticed is that, it sits nearly right on the beach, I also found that is was EXTREMELY clean, there is a lady that cleans every day.I dropped my rating a bit on the fun factor & personality, Reason for this - Fun Factor, I had a bit or trouble interacting with people on the first floor (two floor hostel (two common rooms)), I think if the the staff member played some cool music or something then it would make it easier to interact. Personality - The man that I interacted with the most I believe is the owner and he was an extremely awesome person, however, there was a man that worked the night shift and really didn´t talk all that much, very very quite. The rooms looked like they all had 2 bunk beds per room (4 beds) and a closet. The man helped my book all my tours to Peninsula Valdez (whale watching) & an Elephant Seal Tour. The tours were AMAZING! I definitely recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Puerto Madryn. It is a great location! On the other side of the block there is a great seafood restaurant "El Nautico" and many Puerto Madryn souvenir shops nearby, not to mention that is 20 meters from the beach.I also recieved free pickup from the bus station, but received the e-mail only after I gotten there (I booked the hostel late) so I ended up walking, it´s about 3 block east of the station and 9 blocks south, easily walkable (20 minutes)
HosterAsa TeulyThe hosteria was very easy to find, however it is located a bit far away from the bus terminal, as we walked with rucksacks on. On arrival, the landlady announced us that the room we booked wasn't available, but she actually offered us another one even bigger (a small flat with kitchen, bathroom, large bedroom, TV, etc...)for exactly the same price. It was great!!!The room was cleaned every day, including the making of the bed, rubbish bin emptied: it was simply like staying in a hotel!!We never had our breakfast there as we were out for excursions or having breakfast on the beach side, so i can't say how it works or how it was. What i can say is that the landlady is really nice if you take the time to talk a bit with her. On departure, she offered to call us a taxi, but a bus was supposed to pick us up. But after a few minutes waiting, seeing that this bus was not coming, she asked us if we wanted her to call the company to see what was going on. Waow! She really cares about her guests.Go there for the calm, don't go there if you expect partying.
Chepatagonia HostelA really nice and clean hotel close to the sea! The staff is very friendly and they even organize your tours to "peninsula valdés" and other places :-)!
