Hostel Geriba Es mas que un hostel, es excelente el ambiente y quien lo atiende, Robert es un muy buen personaje, excelente guia y amable, lo recomiendo bastante.The best Hostel.. is more than a Hostel the personel and the place is more than excellent, hope to be there again
Hostel Geriba This beach house is still very new but its a great place to stay. Its in a very handy position for beaches and 2min vans to centro. It also looks over the Geriba lake. Rob is a great host, very friendly and makes you feel at home.
Buzios Adventure Hostel This hostel is in a really nice setting just 10-15 mins walk from the main town. The staff are really friendly and helpful - as ,in my experience, are most Brazilians...although only once of them spoke any English.There are about 10 rooms but it looks like there still in the process of finishing off some of them.While we were there we only spotted about another 5 or so guests- maybe there were more but they kept to themselves. So on that front there wasnt much of an atmosphere in the place between the guests.Also although there wasnt any 'curfew' per se, the door is always locked and you dont have a key so you have to knock on the door. The owners seem to live there so will always answer but as they said to us if you arrive back after 3 they cant guarantee tey'll be awake...which could pose a problem considering the clubbing hours in Brazil.It seems like this place is only starting out and it definately has the potential to be a really nice place to stay.Id recommend it to someone looking for a break from the headonism of Rio!
